National Jewish to Host Interventional Pulmonology Conference
Pulmonologists, oncologists, thoracic surgeons and general practitioners can learn state-of-the art services offered through National Jewish’s Minimally Invasive Diagnostic Center at next month’s Interventional Pulmonology conference. Physicians can learn about minimally invasive techniques and procedures that can benefit patients with lung cancer, tracheobronchial diseases, pleural processes and other thoracic disorders. The program is co-chaired by National Jewish pulmonologists Ali Musani, MD, FCCP, and Barry Make, MD. The conference is Saturday, May 10, on the National Jewish campus in Denver .
“This half-day long conference will introduce those in attendance to the extensive list of minimally invasive procedures that we can now perform through our new diagnostic center,” said Dr. Musani. “We are now the only center in the Rocky Mountain Region that offers these state-of-the-art services and technologies. It is important that physicians and patients are aware that these services are now offered close to home.”
Presentations will cover; diagnosis and staging of cancer, endobroncial brachytherapy, non pharmacologic interventions in emphysema, and tracheobroncial stenting. There will also be sessions on clinical research in interventional pulmonology and a panel discussion. Attendees can also earn CME credit. National Jewish is accredited by the ACCME to provide CME credit hours for physicians.
